Hjerte-karregisteret (The Cardio-Vascular Register)
In March of 2010, the Norwegian Parliament decided to establish a national register of cardio-vascular illnesses, the Cardio-Vascular Register. The purpose of the register is to increase knowledge about the incidence and treatment of cardio-vascular illness in the population. Such knowledge can provide a better basis for quality control and management of the health service, and for research into the causes of cardio-vascular illness.
The Research Council of Norway: NASATS – application deadline Oct. 12th, 2011
This is the first advertisement of funds for multi-regional cooperative projects within the focus areas Unikard, NevroNor and Serious Psychiatric Illness. The initiative is rooted in the National Cooperative Council for Medical and Professional Health Research (Norwegian abbreviation NSG), and the Research Council of Norway (Forskningsrådet) administers the advertisement and is handling the applications.
Quality register meeting on September 27th, 2011
The meeting was a cooperative event between UNIKARD, the Cardio-Vascular Register (Norwegian Institute of Public Health) and SKDE (Clinical Documentation and Evaluation Centre). The objective of the meeting was to see how the various quality registers of cardio-vascular illness can be developed and later integrated into the common Cardio-Vascular Register.
